Design for Kids – made with care

The inspiration for FRANCK & FISCHER’s new range of products this season has in particular been the Climate Conference in Copenhagen COP15, and the climate changes making the ice caps melt on the North and South Pole. 
We hope that our new animals in the collection: the penguin and polar bear will bring happiness and laughter to all the children, but also remind us that we have a responsibility for nature.
With these issues in mind, we make a great effort to choose materials and manufacturing methods that are as environmentally friendly as possible.

Toys:
New toys this season are hand crochet cuddly toys and soother holders with penguin and polar bear, all in organic cotton.

Annemarie Franck has made the classic stacking rings into an iceberg with a penguin on top.
New wooden pull toys have extra functionality where the child can assemble the pieces into a penguin before going for a stroll.
Our wooden products are made of rubber wood from plantation, and painted with environmentally friendly paint.
Fabric books in organic cotton for small children are also new in the collection. Babies can enjoy the cot side gallery with different entertaining details, mirror and crackle paper.  In the next book the child can help the dog find his bone by moving him from page to page. Finally there is a book with numbers 1 – 10 and entertaining and motivating details for the child beginning to understand the concept of counting.
Thoroughly worked through design with focus on play value. 

Interior:
Normally animals are the key to inspiration for all our products, but this autumn we add to the collection a series of knitted baby blankets with big dots in happy colours, as well as jersey blankets with narrow red/white or blue/white stripes, all made in organic cotton.

Bags:
This season, our backpacks for small children - Milko cow and Theodor monkey - will be accompanied by Ulrik the penguin and Oda the polar bear.
The backpacks are made of nylon with fish-shaped reflectors, and in a way so that they do not strain the back and shoulders of the little child.

All new products fit into the lovely animal universe of FRANCK & FISCHER with farm, jungle and now also the cold and icy North and South Pole. Designed with humour and excellent functionality. We hope you will enjoy a new and inspiring autumn/winter collection from FRANCK & FISCHER.
